Raventhorpe Farm Solar Park, which has a capacity of 39.3 MWP, was connected to the grid on 27 March 2015. It covers an area of 810,000 m2 near the city of Scunthorpe, close to England’s North-East coast, and is the largest privately-financed Solar Park in the United Kingdom to date. CTF Solar and CTIEC successfully negotiated the very varied soil conditions across the site, which included sand, rocks, and archaeological remains.

Raventhorpe is one of two Solar Parks constructed in parallel over a period of less than 2 months, under challenging wintertime weather conditions.

Through these two projects, CTF Solar has increased its total installed capacity in the United Kingdom to more than 64 MWP over the past 18 months.
