Dresden, Germany, 1 Aug. 2020

Since CTF Solar established its business site in Dresden in 2012 our company has grown continuously. Starting with just three researchers working in rooms of the Fraunhofer Institute für Organische Elektronik, Elektronenstrahl- und Plasmatechnik – FEP – and using their lab facilities the number of scientists and engineers at the Dresden site has grown to meanwhile 40. The growth in head count was paralleled by the build-up of own laboratory facilities culminating this year in the installation of a pilot line for developing and testing of manufacturing processes and production equipment for the CdTe solar factories CTF Solar is selling. Due to this enduring growth CTF Solar was forced already in the past to move twice inside Dresden to bigger facilities. But this did not mark the end of our successful growth. Now therefore for the third time CTF Solar needs to move inside Dresden into a new building hosting the laboratories and engineering offices.

After the building in 01099 Dresden, Manfred-von-Ardenne-Ring 4 has been reconstructed and refurbished thoroughly according to the needs of CTF Solar the construction site was completed now mid of 2020. Since August 1th we have taken-up work in the new domicile.

With more than 1.700 m2 the new building provides space enough to continue our growth also in the foreseeable future. After the successful installation of the first CdTe solar factory in Chengdu, China, the shareholder of CTF Solar, CTIEC, has ordered five further factories presently under design and construction.

With the investment in the new pilot line and moving again inside Dresden CTF Solar and it´s shareholder CTIEC underline their sustained engagement for the site Dresden and Germany as the CdTe technology innovation centre of the CNBM Groupe.

Beside the site in Dresden CTF Solar also furthermore operates its Frankfurt site in Kelkheim close to Frankfurt / Main and an Office in Chengdu, China. Presently an international team of 55 highly educated and motivated experts coming from 14 countries are working at CTF Solar.
