Dr Michael Bauer became the new CEO of CTF Solar on 01/09/2020. He has assumed the position formerly held by Dr Michael Harr, the company’s co-founder and long-time CEO. Dr Harr remains managing director as the new CTO.

Dr Bauer joined the company in March 2020 and served in the positions of managing director and CTO. The switch of positions with Dr Michael Harr represents another step in the company’s efforts to turn over the company’s leadership to a new generation.

“I am really happy that we were able to find our highly skilled colleague Dr Bauer to succeed me as CEO,” Dr Harr said. “As the former managing director of TS-Solar, a company that was formerly known as CALYXO, Dr Bauer not only has substantial management experience in the leadership of a medium-sized high-tech company, but also has an in-depth understanding of the solar technology that we sell. The challenges faced by the management team of CTF Solar are growing after we conducted a proof of concept for our technology by erecting the CdTe solar module factory in Chengdu and are now moving full speed ahead with the construction of additional factories at various locations in China. Such work requires responsibility to be handed over to the next generation. Over the past six months, I have come to highly respect Dr Bauer and believe that the company will continue to dynamically grow under his leadership. I am looking forward to continuing my trusting relationship with Dr Bauer until I retire from the management team. I would nonetheless like to take this opportunity to wish him good luck and CTF Solar continued success.”

Dr-Ing Michael Bauer was born in Halle / Saale, Germany, on 01/08/1973.
